Overview
The Raspberry Pico W and Pico WH (with Headers) is a microcontroller based developement board. At this heart is a RP2040 microcontroller chip designed by Raspberry Pi in UK. It features a Dual Core ARM Cortex-M0+ processor running upto 133 MHz with 264 KB of on-chip SRAM. The Pico also has a 2 MB of onboard Flash memory, providing enough space for code and data storage.
The “W” in the Pico W standards for wireless connectivity. Pico W offers offers 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN support and Bluetooth 5.2, with an on-board antenna, and modular compliance certification. It can be operated in both station and access point modes.
Pico has extensive I/O capabilities with 26 GPIO Pins, including 3 Analog Inputs and lots of interfacing options including 2 × SPI, 2 × I2C, 2 × UART, 3 × 12-bit ADC, 16 × controllable PWM channels. Moreover, 26 of the GPIO pins are multi-function, which means we can configure those pins to a different behavior like UART/I2C/SPI/GPIO.
It includes a USB 1.1 with device and host support, allowing easy connection to PCs or other USB devices, this enables drag-and-drop programming feature that simplifies the process of loading and updating code on the device using mass storage over USB.

Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with Headers
Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is the latest product in our most affordable range of single-board computers. The successor to the breakthrough Raspberry Pi Zero W, Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is a form factor–compatible drop-in replacement for the original board.
The board incorporates a quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 CPU, clocked at 1GHz. At its heart is a Raspberry Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP), integrating a Broadcom BCM2710A1 die with 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. The upgraded processor provides Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W with 40% more single-threaded performance, and five times more multi-threaded performance, than the original single-core Raspberry Pi Zero.
Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W offers 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth 4.2, along with support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and modular compliance certification.
The board has a microSD card slot, a CSI-2 camera connector, a USB On-The-Go (OTG) port, and an unpopulated footprint for a HAT-compatible 40-pin GPIO header. It is powered via a micro USB socket. Video output is via a mini HDMI port; composite video output can easily be made available via test points if needed.

Getting Started
Tiny 2040 is firmware agnostic! You can program it with?C/C++ or MicroPython?in the same way as you would a Raspberry Pi Pico, though you’ll need to bear in mind that it has a reduced number of pins. You can find (lots) more information on how to do that (as well as download links for the firmware/SDK) on the?RP2040 landing page.
You can also use?CircuitPython?on your Tiny 2040! CircuitPython is an easy to use, well-established ecosystem with lots of example code and drivers for interfacing with different kinds of hardware.

Notes
- The RGB LED is connected to GP18-GP20 and?active low?(so the on/off state will work in the opposite way to the LED on a Raspberry Pi Pico). You can PWM the pins to dim the LED – check out?Tonygo2’s MicroPython example.
About RP2040
Raspberry Pi’s RP2040 microcontroller is a dual core ARM Cortex M0+ running at up to 133Mhz. It bundles in 264kB of SRAM, 30 multifunction GPIO pins (including a four channel 12-bit ADC), a heap of standard peripherals (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM, clocks, etc), and USB support.
One very exciting feature of RP2040 is the programmable IOs which allow you to execute custom programs that can manipulate GPIO pins and transfer data between peripherals – they can offload tasks that require high data transfer rates or precise timing that traditionally would have required a lot of heavy lifting from the CPU.
